I accept referrals from a range of organisations as well as from people arranging therapy privately.
This includes referrals funded by health insurers, solicitors, employers and other organisations. I am experienced in working within externally funded treatment arrangements while ensuring that therapy remains focused on the needs and goals of the individual client.
If your treatment is being funded by another organisation, the number of sessions authorised, reporting requirements and arrangements for cancellation may be determined by the funder. These will be discussed with you at the beginning of therapy.
Health insurance
I am currently recognised as a provider by Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality, WPA, Bupa and Bupa Global.
If you are planning to use private health insurance to fund therapy, please contact your insurer before arranging your first appointment to confirm that treatment is covered and to obtain any authorisation or claim details they require.
Insurers have different arrangements regarding the number of sessions authorised, fees, excess payments and further treatment. I can provide the information they require from me once your treatment has been authorised.
Solicitor referrals
I have extensive experience providing CBT for people referred in connection with personal injury and other legal claims, including difficulties arising following road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
I accept formal instructions from solicitors and can provide treatment reports and progress information where this has been agreed as part of the referral.
I also see clients who have been advised by their solicitor to arrange therapy themselves while funding or authorisation is being considered. If this applies to you, please let me know when you contact me so that we can clarify the arrangements for treatment and fees.
Employers & organisations
I also accept referrals from employers and other organisations seeking psychological therapy for employees or individuals they support.
Where therapy is funded by an organisation, the arrangements for treatment, fees and any reporting requirements will be agreed at the outset. Confidentiality and the limits of any information shared with the referring organisation will also be made clear before therapy begins.
